"Swallow Me Whole is my rawest and most vulnerable song yet. I wrote this song at a time in my life where I was experiencing the most emotional turmoil after a relationship had been broken off. It highlights the theme of self sabotage, illustrating what it feels like to be utterly consumed by destructive habits that you swore you’ve outgrown. By repeating lines verbatim in the song, it narrates the never ending cycle of being burned and hurt, but also being the one who creates those conditions of suffering. This song is the emotional equivalent to burning bridges behind you, but then realizing you’re stranded on the island with no way out. In the cycle of self sabotage, there is no progress or evolution, it is self inflicted emotional ruin that stems from a deep longing for stable connections. Once you light the fire, it will continue to be fueled by every ounce of breath you put into it. It can only be put out if you stop feeding it—even if that means sitting in the cold for a while.
The title itself is even a little uncomfortable, just like the brutal honesty that you may be a self saboteur."

We really wanted to capture the idea of someone else drawing out the blueprint of your life into something else while you’re off in the clouds, unaware. this song can mean anything from media headlines sensationalizing a story to your closest friend talking about you behind your back."
